BMX

Olympic BMX racing is an event for people who love to go flat out on their BMX. The riders have to start from a high bank and race really fast around a track that has jumps, banked corners and other obstacles. They are trying to be the first rider across the finish line. Do you know how long it takes for a BMX rider to go around one whole course? It takes them thirty seconds to get through the course!
BMX riders wear a helmet, goggles, gloves, elbow pads and a long sleeved shirt. They also need a very flash and expensive BMX bike that can go really, really fast!

If you want to give it a go try heading down to your local BMX track!
